We start. testing with a small plan. which is hardly a full-fl.g. strategy. The main emphasis was on custom audiences creat. bas. on keywords.
Testing approach
- YouTube was chosen for testing. which allow. us to work better with the audience than in the case of GDN (Google Display Network) or competitor targeting.
- Bas. on this test. we were able to evaluate content types and other aspects of working with the audience.
Test results
The results of one such funnel
First test
As part of the first test on oman mobile database YouTube. we got the cost of registration in the UK at $122 .
- This was more expensive than the average registration cost for the UK (around $80).
- At that time. the main goal was only registrations. without a focus on FTD due to the long conversion window (24 days).
Next steps
After completing the this allowed us to gradually optimize first test. we began to expand the campaign. increasing the number of leads in different countries. costs and improve the effectiveness slovakia business directory of working with the audience.

Campaign structure
The standard campaign structure look. like this:
- One campaign.
- One ad group.
- One audience segment.
- 25 ads within the group.
We previously test. a different approach with 5-6 groups in a single campaign. each with multiple audiences. However. over the long term of the campaign (2-3 weeks). we observ. that only one group would emerge as the leader. receiving the majority of impressions. while the others remain. inactive. Similarly. out of multiple audiences in a group. only one would receive traffic.
Decision
For more precise budget control and effective scaling of YouTube Ads. the decision was made to move to a “one campaign – one group – one audience” structure with multiple creatives inside.
Audience selection
At the beginning. we select. audiences with the most obvious characteristics:
- Website visitors.
- Audiences by keywords.
- Audiences of competing brands.
Later. thanks to castdev in call centers. less obvious audiences were test.. Example:
Back to School in Germany
- Target audience: parents of school-age children (40–45 years old and older).
- These people have above-average incomes and are often interest. in investments.
- This audience perform. well in Germany.
