Remember that a rum shared is a pleasure multiplied.
On the nose, we find vanilla in both the 8-month and 1-month versions, even if the 8-month version is much deeper. The woody notes in the 1-month version are a little finer and less subtle than those in the 8-month version.
On the palate, we won’t talk about the 8-month version. As for the 1-month version, it’s very pleasant to find vanilla in the mouth, even if it’s caramelized and rather light. The woodiness is very pronounced.
Ideal tasting mode
The 8-month-old is not suitable for job function email database drinking, except for the wood juice experiment. It has a pleasant aroma, but is disgusting in the mouth.
For the 1 month, it is a very good tasting rum, it still deserves a little maceration to be optimal and I think then that it will also lend itself well to tasting in cocktails.
My pleasure in tasting
This tasting was surprising intelligent routing selection and, above all, very informative. I had never experienced wood juice before. It’s something I’d already heard of. I know that some rums are sweetened precisely to erase this kind of defect. But even if it made the tasting unpleasant, I alb directory enjoyed the experience and learned something.
As for the 1 month, I don’t think it’s complete. An additional month is certainly necessary, at least not more with a 50cl barrel. The fact that it’s a small barrel limits my possibilities. I’ll have to take this into account in my future experiments.
