What was going on there! On 11.12.2023, the Interactive Gala organized by Ola Gościniak took place at the Digital Knowledge Village in Warsaw . I was behind the scenes (literally!!!) and I’d love to tell you about it.
Preparations
– You’re getting ready how to write a recipe? you’re going to a wedding! – my husband said when I went out to get my nails done.
– Of course I will! After all, it’s my first book launch! I have to spruce myself up!
On the nails landed a purple-pink varnish with a lot of glitter. It has to be shiny!
The sparkle wasn’t just on the nails. It was everywhere! On the sequined and glitter dresses of the Interactive Gala participants. On the eyelids and cheeks thanks to the wonderful make-up. And above all in the eyes of the 59 authors, who shyly got to know each other and asked for autographs. The sparkle, as well as tears, also appeared in the eyes of the Gala participants during the speeches, the fashion show and the award ceremony.
Behind the scenes, I’ll tell you that from time to time, instead of a glint in the eyes of the organizers, sparks would fly – when there was a delay, someone wasn’t where they should be or there was another fire to put out. Patrycja Kot, Kasia Masztaller , Natalia Nietupska and Ewelina Salwuk-Marko – I admire you for keeping your finger on the pulse and staying calm in the most difficult situations. Good job!
Photo session
The gala started at 5 p.m., but the Digital Knowledge Village was buzzing from the morning. Workshops and panel discussions were digital marketing that will help you stand out from 10 a.m. As well as photo sessions and interviews with the authors of the book.
Agnieszka Werecha had quite a challenge – 40 (!) sessions one after another. There are no photos yet (because when I write this article it is only 2 days after the Gala), and the photos still need to be edited, but I can’t wait to see them, because I know they will be great, as will the atmosphere during the session.
And I will admit immodestly that I looked quite good, because the wonderful Katarzyna Koś did my make-up , and she had to show up at my house at 6:50! It was quite dark then, and when I remember my boys, how they heard the intercom and quickly made their beds…
Interviews
Each of the authors received an sg number to an interview with Aneta Jaworska . I admit that I didn’t have time to prepare for this interview. After the fashion show rehearsal (more on that in a moment), I also had neither the strength nor the desire. Besides, my words flow calmly only through my fingers, speaking is worse. I constantly stutter, and that stresses me out.
